Hello, I'm Richard

I'm a Scottish-born home cook living in Golden Bay, Western Australia with my partner Tom and our two dogs. I've worked in IT for over 30 years, but the kitchen is where I truly unwind.

My cookbook collection spans decades and continents—from well-worn Scottish classics to Australian fresh-produce treasures, Greek taverna cookbooks, and far too many Ottolenghi titles. I cook from them all, and I have opinions.

The name Aegean Breeze is a nod to my love of the Greek islands—the food, the light, the impossibly blue water. When I'm not in the kitchen, I'm probably in the garden with a glass of Shiraz, or plotting our next trip back.
